OMEGA GRIMA / OMEGA GRIMA /
Omega Jeux d’Argent – Andrew Grima | Silver Case | Mechanical
We often say. Some watches tell the time. Others tell a story. On this one you have the full story, a true timecapsule.
This extraordinary Omega designed by Andrew Grima belongs in the category of art piece you can wear on the wrist.
Created in the late 1970s, this sculptural timepiece is crafted entirely in sterling silver .925 and showcases Grima’s unmistakable brutalist aesthetic. Known as the “Jeweller of Modernism,” Andrew Grima brought an avant-garde vision to Omega, resulting in some of the boldest and rarest watches the brand has ever produced.
The square case and integrated silver bracelet give the watch the look of a modernist jewel rather than a conventional wristwatch.
The dial has developed a stunning natural spider pattern over time, creating a one-of-a-kind texture that collectors actively seek out.
Inside beats the legendary manual-wind Omega Calibre 620, a refined mechanical movement that perfectly matches the artisanal spirit of the piece.
What makes this example truly exceptional is its provenance.
Delivered new in Brussels on April 30th, 1979, and preserved with its complete original set:
– Original Omega box
– Outer box
– Original papers
– Original sales invoice dated April 30th, 1979
Finding an Omega by Andrew Grima is rare.
Finding one in solid sterling silver .925 is very rare.
Finding one with a spider dial and complete original accessories is nearly impossible.
A museum-worthy collector’s piece and one of the most elusive vintage Omegas ever offered.
